Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Peoples

We honour and remember the 59 Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples identified from families and communities within the region of Wood Buffalo in Treaty 8 territory.

This website is a resource for families looking for support in finding loved ones, sharing their stories, accessing resources to find justice or to support their grief.

Survivors of exploitation and targeted attacks will also find support in healing, a place to share this story, and support in finding justice.

This website is also a resource where anyone can learn more about the work, events, and impacts of the MMEIP grassroots movement within the region of Wood Buffalo in Treaty 8 territory. Please join us in supporting the families of MMEIP Loved Ones and ending violence on Indigenous Peoples in our home territories.

Our loved ones are more than a case number. Honour them by telling their story, sharing a memory, or commemorating them with artwork.

Gather to support each other, raise awareness, and end the violence.

Add to this community-led database of Indigenous people who are from Wood Buffalo or who were last seen in the region.

Supporting families and friends through the process of navigating the justice system, or supporting their grieving process.
